Māui Hudson (Whakatōhea) is an Associate Professor and Director of the Te Kotahi Research Institute at the University of Waikato. His work focuses on Indigenous Data Sovereignty and the application of Indigenous Knowledge to decision-making across a range of contemporary contexts. Māui advocates for Indigenous rights and interests through Te Mana Raraunga: Māori Data Sovereignty Network, and the Global Indigenous Data Alliance (GIDA). He is a Co-Director of Equity for Indigenous Research and Innovation Coordinating Hub (ENRICH) and Local Contexts.
